Academics
  • K-8 achievement test scores rank significantly higher than state and national averages.
  • Approximately 65% of our students qualify for the DUKE TIP program by scoring above the 95% on standardized testing.

Student Performance
  • The class of 2017 consisted of 93 seniors admitted into 39 different colleges and universities. These students earned $4.3 million in merit-based, collegiate scholarships.
  • The class of 2018 consisted of 96 seniors admitted into 40 different colleges and universities. These students earned $5.9 million in merit-based, collegiate scholarships.
  • The class of 2019 consisted of 99 seniors who were admitted to 37 different colleges and universities. These students earned $6.8 million in merit-based, collegiate scholarships. 
  • The class of 2020 consisted of 89 seniors who were admitted to x different colleges and universities. These students earned $5.2 million in merit-based, collegia scholarships. 
Spiritual Development
  • Wesleyan students take ownership of their faith and are able to successfully defend the tenants of the Gospel.
  • Bible curriculum is incorporated into every level of learning.
  • Wesleyan carves out a week each year for middle and high school students to delve deeper into a relationship with Christ, appropriately called Spiritual Emphasis Week.
  • High school students have served on mission trips to Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, and other countries.
  • Students have participated in service projects with the NC Special Olympics, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the Miracle League of HIgh Point, Macedonia Community Center, Church under the Bridge, The Pregnancy Care Center, and the High Point Community Against Violence. 
Accreditation

Wesleyan Christian Academy is accredited by three different agencies: Cognia, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Council on Educational Standards and Accountability (CESA). The school holds membership in the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals, North Carolina Association of Independent Schools and North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association. All teachers are licensed by the state of North Carolina and ACSI.

Educational Philosophy

For education to be meaningful, it must be based upon truth. Wesleyan Christian Academy believes that all truth is God’s Truth, and His Truth is revealed through the Bible, which is infallible and is the standard for living a successful life. Only by recognizing God as the Creator, Designer, and Organizer of the universe can a proper understanding and mastery of facts and knowledge be possible.

Wesleyan Christian Academy believes that Christian education is a process in which teaching and learning are accomplished through developmentally appropriate activities by Christian teachers who encourage a high standard of academic excellence. We believe God’s Word is the highest authority and strive to bring all knowledge into a living relationship with His Truth.

Wesleyan Christian Academy functions in a complementary role with the Christian home to provide, within a traditional, educational setting, opportunities that integrate and nurture each student’s academic, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional development.

Wesleyan Christian Academy desires to produce individuals who will be productive and contributing members both in society and within the body of Christ, emanating a Christian worldview.

Technology
  • All Elementary classrooms (K1-4) include: a teacher’s computer, ceiling-mount projector, interactive white board, and auditory phonic voice projection system.
  • The large majority of Middle School (5-8) and High School (9-12) classrooms include a teacher’s computer, either a ceiling-mount projector and/or an interactive white board, and an auditory phonic voice projection system.
  • The Elementary computer lab (K1-4) offers 30 computers with a wide array of academic and creative software that supplements the students’ classroom learning in the areas of reading, math, spelling, and science. 
  • Students in grades 3-8 are taught keyboarding skills through an interactive software program.
  • The Middle School (5-8) and High School (9-12) computer lab is equipped with 30 MAC computers. Middle School students develop foundational skills in MS Office and Google Drive, while our high school students can elect to take a computer information systems course and often use the lab for various course assignments.
  • Middle School elective courses are offered in Adobe Photoshop Elements, Premier Photoshop, SketchUp, and basic programming.
  • Our Media Center offers a bank of computers for middle school and high school use, while elementary students in grades 2-4 learn online research skills using Google Chromebooks. 
  • iPad mobile carts are used throughout the elementary program to supplement certain subject learning in the classrooms.
  • Chromebooks are used throughout the school by our middle school and Enrichment Center students.
  • Wesleyan maintains an online parent and student portal called onCampus that provides access to reference materials through our Media Center, student grades, homework assignments, attendance records, faculty communication, and cafeteria menus.
  • Our website provides Wesleyan families with our school calendars (academic, athletic, and performing/fine arts), cafeteria menus, and important announcements.  We also provide access to the tuition draft, financial aid application, lunch accounts, school supplies, and a wealth of other information
  • Wesleyan Christian Academy understands the important role technology can play in assisting students with learning new material and concepts.
Facilities
  • A 26-acre campus with more than 210,000 square feet of instructional space
  • A 70-acre campus is currently being developed which houses our baseball practice and playing fields, lacrosse and soccer practice fields, and a playground and pavilion. 
  • Performing Arts Center with a 750-seat auditorium and state-of-the-art LED screen.

  • Newly renovated cafeteria featuring our food service provider, Flik Dining.
