Frequently Asked Questions

What is FACTS Tuition Assistance?

Wesleyan partners with FACTS, a third-party financial processor of financial aid applications for independent schools across the country. FACTS uses an “Estimated Family Contribution” (EFC) calculation that takes into account many of the factors that make up a family’s overall financial picture.

How do I apply for FACTS Financial Aid?

You can apply online with the FACTS Financial Aid Application. Applicants can apply for financial aid at any point in the admissions process, but we can’t award aid until after you have been accepted to Wesleyan. You can check the status of your financial aid application by calling FACTS at (866) 315-9262. April 1 is the deadline for returning family FACTS applications, and the start date for new families to apply.

How much aid can I receive?

Wesleyan’s tuition assistance budget is not unlimited. Aid is awarded based on the level of need and availability of funds.

Is tuition assistance available for all grades?

Tuition assistance is available for families with students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. It is not available for early education families.

Can applying for aid impact my child’s application?

Not at all. Admission applications and FACTS applications are reviewed separately, and applying for tuition assistance has no bearing on an applicant’s admissibility.

What if my child withdraws from Wesleyan during the school year?

Parents withdrawing students after June 1 will be required to pay the portion of the school year completed (if applicable) in addition to a minimum of one quarter’s tuition. This policy is necessary due to Wesleyan’s commitments to personnel, supplies, curriculum, and materials based on a student’s enrollment. There are no exceptions to this policy.

What is included in the accident insurance covered by the academic fees above?

We provide Student Accident Insurance as a secondary insurance policy for students that will cover a limited amount of medical expenses once the student’s / family’s primary insurance has processed the claim. This covers student injuries while at school or performing school activities.
