“Laying Their Foundation” Brick Campaign

I was asked recently about the family member that was most influential in my spiritual growth. My answer, without hesitation, was my grandmother, Sara Ray. “Granny” as I affectionately called her, was steadfast in prayer and she always pointed me to the cross of Jesus Christ. Now, years later, as the Head of School at Wesleyan Christian Academy I have the wonderful opportunity to lead a faculty that desires greatly to point your children to the cross of Jesus every day. In fact, the Cross is at the very core of who we are at Wesleyan Christian Academy.

With this in mind, the “Laying Their Foundation” campaign was launched to provide a visual representation of our Christian faith at the heart of the Sandy Ridge Campus. The centrally-located courtyard will be built in the shape of a Christian Cross—composed of personalized bricks from current families, grandparents, alumni and friends—as a reminder to all who pass by of the reason for our Hope.

We believe this courtyard will be a beautiful focal point for Wesleyan families and a spot for students to gather and pray. The Apostle Paul shared with the church at Corinth, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” (1 Cor. 1:18)

In order to accomplish this, we invite you, our Wesleyan family, friends and partners, to purchase a personalized brick that will be placed in this Cross-shaped courtyard.  You may purchase a brick as an individual, a family, or in honor of a special person. You may also purchase one as a group (e.g. Class of 2010, State Championship Soccer Team, etc.).

While the individual bricks will form the courtyard, the monies raised from this campaign will also help further develop our Sandy Ridge Campus with the construction of a beautiful eight-lane track surrounding our soccer field. If God chooses to bless us with a very successful campaign, our hope is to add lights to the new soccer and softball fields. Any funds received over the amount needed to complete these projects will go toward additional athletic and academic needs specific to the Sandy Ridge Campus. To learn more, click here

We invite you to rally together with us for God’s glory and for our students! Thank you for your partnership in this wonderful endeavor.
