Wesleyan Hosts Annual Christian College Fair

This week, Wesleyan was honored to host the annual National Christian College Fair. Each year, the fair is open to the community and attracts students from area public and private schools. Hundreds of parents and students filled up the gym and had an opportunity to meet face-to-face with 41 college representatives from across the country.

Wesleyan High School Principal Tim Rickman explained, “The Christian College Fair gives our students the opportunity to take a first glance at many Christian colleges. And it happens right here at home. These are great colleges and universities and many of them become a perfect fit for our students.”

Wesleyan College Counselor Michelle Ledbetter stated, “This year’s fair was a great success. We had colleges from Texas to Michigan to Pennsylvania to Georgia and more in between represented.” Colleges represented included Wheaton College, Columbia International University, Asbury University and Southern Wesleyan University, among dozens more schools.

The Fair also included a free financial aid seminar in the Farlow Kennedy Center presented by a representative from Anderson University’s Financial Aid Office. This provided a much-needed opportunity for parents to learn more about financing their children’s college years.

Ledbetter added, “We were thrilled to reach out to the community by hosting this event. Each year, we see students establish meaningful relationships with college admission representatives who take a genuine interest in helping them find the right place to pursue their education.”

According to Principal Tim Rickman, “The annual Christian College Fair helps those who really want to continue their education in a Christian environment, and be taught from a Christian Worldview, see strong academic schools that allow them to fulfill that desire.”

Rickman declared, “The Christian College Fair is one of the most important events at Wesleyan each year –  plan now to attend next year!”
