Christmas at Wesleyan

Excitement is in the air at Wesleyan as Christmas Day is quickly approaching.  Christmas parties, celebrations, and finals are nearly complete, and from the youngest to oldest, there is an anticipation at the very thought of Christmas.

Not only have we enjoyed the pre-Christmas celebrations at school, but also students, faculty, and staff have helped to spread Christmas cheer throughout our community.  We had the pleasure of serving an early Christmas dinner to the families of the Macedonia community and many families from Parkview Elementary will wake up Christmas morning with gifts to be opened.  Tangible gifts were given to these precious people, but more than that, the hope and love of Jesus Christ was shared.  It is indeed a humble privilege for Wesleyan to come alongside this ministry and school as we seek to share this hope with those around us.

Luke describes in his gospel account the joy and excitement of the angels in announcing the birth of Jesus as they exclaimed, “Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news that will cause you great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”  As we approach Christmas Day, we pray that this same excitement will spring forth in your heart and that you will share this hope with those around you.

We hope that you and your family will enjoy a restful and blessed Christmas and New Year.  We look forward to a wonderful second semester of school beginning on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
